Kimberly Poli is a classically trained vocalist, stage performer, and credentialed music educator living in Los Angeles, CA.

 

Kimberly has been performing professionally as a singer and entertainer since she was 16 years old. As a child, she recorded vocals in Nashville for a family folk album, and was an active soloist in her community; appearing on the local telethon and radio station, and singing for church services, weddings and school programs. In High School she placed first chair Alto 1 in multiple choral competitions and was honored with an invitation to the MENC All-Eastern Choral Festival in Boston, MA. Also during her High School years, she started her first job as an entertainer aboard the Proud Mary at Lake Raystown Resort in Pennsylvania, and performed her first operatic role as Hansel in a local production of Hansel and Gretel

 

Since then Kimberly has performed principal roles with Harrisburg Opera Association, Lancaster Opera, Capitol Opera Harrisburg, Loudoun Lyric Opera, Civic Theater of Indianapolis, Shenandoah Conservatory Opera, Sierra Madre Playhouse, Valley Opera and Performing Arts, and Guild Opera of Los Angeles; and has had long-term professional engagements with the Indianapolis Opera Chorus, Indianapolis Opera Ensemble, Emmy Award winner Tim Brickley's Jazz Quintet, the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle in Washington D.C. She has appeared as a guest artist with organizations like Hershey Symphony Orchestra, Manchester Symphony Orchestra, The Susquehanna Chorale and Messiah Choral Arts Society; and was a featured soloist on a nationally televised Christmas Eve Program Enter the Light of Life on CBS. She has appeared in Los Angeles venues like Catalina Jazz Club and the Mark Taper Auditorium performing Bossa Nova and other world music, and is an active professional in church music, singing regularly at churches, including St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pasadena.

 

In addition to performing, Kimberly is a dedicated music educator with a B.S. in Music Education, an M.M. in Voice Performance, and over 20 years of teaching experience; including 5 years as a music teacher and choral director in Pennsylvania public schools, and 15 months as an overseas volunteer in Nigeria. Currently, Kimberly directs the Choristers Children's Choir at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Altadena, serves as the Director of Education for Guild Opera Company, bringing professional operettas to area Elementary Schools, and is the sole proprietor of Polyglot Music, offering private lessons in voice and piano to all ages in the San Fernando Valley.

Kimberly's operatic roles include Carmen (Carmen), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Oberon (A Midsummer Night's Dream) Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) Stefano (Romeo et Juliette),  Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) Bella (Paganini), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Flora (La Traviata), 3rd Spirit (The Magic Flute) Hansel (Hansel and Gretel), Alice (Alice in Wonderland), Little Buttercup (HMS Pinafore), Mad Margaret (Ruddigore), and Lady Jane (Patience). In music theater, she has performed as Mehitabel (Archie and Mehitabel), Brenda (The Pajama Game), and created the role of Mary in Romance from Broadway to Lincoln Center.
